Join the Superior Douglas County YMCA inside the Lake Superior Estuarium! Escape the Cold at the Estuarium! Bring your kids in from the cold and join us for some fun indoor activities! We’ll be making polar bear faces, snowflakes, and offering lots of coloring pages to spark creativity. We can’t wait to see you there!

Looking for something to do outside with kids during the Lake Superior Ice Festival? Check out the Kids Snowshoe Obstacle Course (snow or no snow!) right in Festival Park, grab a bite from one of our food vendors, take pictures with the Ice Princesses at Fairlawn Mansion or the Characters on the Island - including Blizzy, Lake Superior Ice Festival Polar Bear! NEW This year - join our characters and their guests for a Mascot Dance Off in Festival Park or try out Ice Bowling on the ice near the beach.
